dig it
Finished recording in 6 hours, granted it was only 2 tracks but still! we did the best we could considering our life span thus far. Matt was a bloody star (of course not literally) he provided the microphones, stands, hand built amp head, leads ect… basically the best band mate you could have. We recorded a bunch of takes for these songs so i hope it will be to whatever standards you have set for us.
The plan is to hand make about 50 and print a small run of t-shirts to accompany it. everything will no doubt be really cheap and after these C.D’s are sold at about £3 each we will put it up for free download. Expect a release around Feb/March so we have time to get our act together
I think i should also mention that Matt is going to start engineering/recording local bands around the York area in his free time. He plans to do this at minimal fees as he actually has a real person job with charts and stuff. He has a whole load of great equipment that he has collected over the years and if you are interested please let me know.
Typos are a given in my posts

So i have started a new project after becoming ever more frustrated by not playing guitar. Yes, the band sounds a little bit like a repressed guitarist spilling ideas, that doesn’t means solos, solos are shit and have been done a thousand times over by musicians far better than myself and you. George and Matt make up this particular ensemble and are able to make sense of my ideas. We are doing a recording next week of a couple of tracks, maybe one. it would be nice if somebody who reads this just throws it about to friends and family (or strangers, they still count). Expect it finished early new year. burn it, play it hit people with it just make sure it makes some distance.
We have a little practice room recording that is particularly rough on this here Tumblr, it gives you the general gist of it all.
Love and stuff

Come and clean it up, should have had your head out the clouds,
off the wall, off your face.
making sense, chewing bricks,
sick out colour,
Easy fix easy fix.
fucks the inside of me repeatedly,
fancy that, must of had it coming,
what do you think, what do you think
a son of fault and watch it sink.
boil over, wreck my balance…i thought you found me.
I read though notes, that don’t make sense.
A few broken words or ignorance
Articulate, please make a sound.
Feel my weight and forget the ground.
Broken down, right or wrong?
Self improvement or just getting on?
Fixing history, battling sleep.
My rackets too loud…
…about to peek out, and scare you, senseless.
Shatter, head room, creating messes.
Quite/loud, cat got your tongue?
Scream in silence or battle on.
Noted breathing, started to heal
Lost my nerve, lost my nerve.
…And the colours all turned to grey
There is distrust in your perceptions, an expert of disbelief,
a fear against your senses. You call her Genevieve .
…She’s beautiful, she’s is your last defence.
She didn’t mean it, I hope you understand.
( and all he said)
“you fucked it kid, you’re a bloody mess.”
I’ll try and drown this out…
…what’s all this fuss about?
It’s noisy as hell, when he shouts and points and laughs…its a fucking disaster.
I never invited this in, where is God when you need him…
…but I’m still here…
I am going to be recording very soon, this process could take a while. i am going to record about 9 songs. this will be a documentation of my emotional history, well what I’m willing to let out at least. expect electronics as well as acoustics and a lot of honesty. that is all.

p.s i will one day write a pop song and be proud of it.
Me and Steven recorded an improvised acoustic track a little while ago, we’ve recently decided to turn it into a collaborative project by (rather unoriginally) combining our two solo projects, A Boy & Citizen Tank.
So here it is, A Boy & Citizen Tank - “IN MEMORY OF…”

This is a basically going to become a space for me to jot down lyrical ideas and post music, as well as links to artists that inspire me.
